Dominican Cricket

Cricket is planning to make waves in the Dominican Republic with the launch of the new cricket federation and associations.

With backing from the Dominican Ministry of Sport, the British Embassy in Santo Domingo and various local businessmen, cricket provides a new opportunity for young Dominicans to learn the game and people from all walks of life to come together and associate with other likeminded individuals.

The plan is that the Dominican Republic will soon be able to compete in cricket with the best. The Dominican Republic is also planning a demonstration of their cricketing talents at the next Olympic Games.

Cricket teams are being set up in the capital Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata on the North Coast.
